Jane Sanders and Outpost Studios Want You to Build A Political Revolution

Outpost was proud to have provided the post-production sound for the critically-acclaimed film “True Son,” a feature documentary which focuses on a David vs. Goliath election battle that took place in Stockton, California, in 2014.

The 72-min. documentary tells the story of Michael Tubbs, an African American community organizer, whom upon returning home to find a city suffering from the foreclosure crisis caused by the Wall Street banks, campaigned against Stockton’s political establishment and won.

“True Son” resembles presidential hopeful, Bernie Sanders’, own underdog campaign for mayor in 1981; his first campaign for office during which he built a strong grassroots movement that took on the city of Burlington, Vermont’s wealthy establishment and won.

Therefore, it’s only fitting that Democracy for America members, who are continuing to organize to help Bernie Sanders win the upcoming presidential primaries, hold a “True Son” Watch Party in communities all around the country.

The film’s remarkable reviews from the New York Times and Tribeca Film Festival to the Los Angeles Times and Hollywood Reporter, demonstrate that this is a film you don’t want to miss, especially at this pivotal moment in the 2016 election cycle.
